Pinaview is a location-anchored photo diary: you take a photo, it gets
your position, and it lands as a pin on a shared map. Over time the map
itself becomes the timeline of where things happened.
It is the one app for the pin* family: the earlier experiments
(pinaphoto for capture, pindiary for the diary, pinaview for the
map) are being folded into this single app, so there is one thing to
use instead of three prototypes.
What it does today
- Explore. The latest pins as markers on a map. Zoom into an area and
press Play to step through the pins there in the order they were made. - Capture. Take a photo; the app asks for your location and pins it.
After saving, the map centres on the new pin. - Diary. The pins in the current map view as a list, grouped by day,
each with a link back to its place on the map. - Tags. Write a
#hashtagin the caption and it becomes a tag; the
most used tags get colours and a filter on the map. - Your pins stay yours to remove. You can delete a pin you made from
this phone, and a pin flagged as inappropriate is hidden at once.
Built for one hand on a phone: the main actions sit within thumb reach.
Status
Live experiment, tested on iPhone (Safari). No login: your phone gets
its own key, which is what lets you delete your own pins.
